Victoza claim eligibility for injured consumers

What is Victoza?

Victoza, known generically as liraglutide, is a common medication that’s prescribed to people suffering from type II diabetes. When taken, it works as a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. This helps the body regulate insulin, among other things. It also slows digestion in the stomach.

Developed by Novo Nordisk, Victoza was given US FDA approval in January 2010. Since then, it’s been one of the top prescribed medications for type II diabetes. Victoza is administered daily via easy-to-use autoinjectors. The initial dose for treatment starts at 0.6 mg and can be increased during the treatment process to a maximum of 1.8 mg.

A lot of discoveries have been made regarding GLP-1 RAs like Victoza. The most serious of which is that it causes several serious conditions, including gastroparesis. This untreatable condition causes more problems, including abdominal pain and vomiting. Other than gastroparesis, Victoza can also cause bowel obstruction and vision loss.

Victoza side effects that can lead to claims

If you’ve been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have been treated with Victoza, there’s a chance that you’ve developed gastroparesis. We’re encouraging you to reach out to our team, which will carefully review your case and see if it’s fit for financial compensation. To be eligible, your case needs to meet the following criteria:

Victoza settlements and litigation

The US court of law has taken a stand against GLP-1 RA medications like Victoza. This February, the US Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) consolidated similar cases into MDL 3094. There are over 1,300 cases filed already, and the number continues to grow.

The plaintiffs of these lawsuits want to hold manufacturers like Novo Nordisk accountable for not highlighting the seriousness of the side effects that these medications have. Gastroparesis alone results in life-altering problems that can be costly and can greatly reduce one’s quality of life. MDL 3094 is the perfect opportunity to get your just compensation as well.
