Is dulaglutide the same as semaglutide?

No. Dulaglutide and semaglutide are not the same. Both are glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, the active ingredients in the drugs used to manage type 2 diabetes. Dulaglutide is the active ingredient in Trulicity, whereas semaglutide is found in Wegovy and Ozempic. If you develop severe side effects from using either drug as weight loss management, it is also essential to know that Trulicity, apart from Ozempic, is not FDA-approved for weight loss. However, Wegovy is FDA-approved for both type 2 diabetes and weight loss management.

The type of drug you're using and the circumstances of its prescription are important when filing a claim. If you are interested in doing so, Atraxia Law can help you review your documents and check for your eligibility.

File a claim for your dulaglutide injury with Atraxia Law’s help

GLP-1 receptor agonists like dulaglutide have similar adverse effects, such as gastroparesis, bowel obstruction, and vision loss. If you experienced either of these, you may be eligible to file a claim. However, if the nature of taking drugs like Trulicity and Ozempic is linked to weight loss, you may have a hard time claiming your compensation since those medications are not FDA-approved for weight loss management.

Nevertheless, if you seek help from Atraxia Law, we will do our best to assist you in gathering your documents and assessing your eligibility to file a claim. When this is done, we will find the most suitable attorney who can represent you well in your legal battle.
