Can tirzepatide cause vision loss?

Yes, tirzepatide can result in vision loss. Although rare, tirzepatide has been linked to a sudden and painless form of vision loss called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).

Mounjaro and Zepbound can cause a significant drop in blood pressure. In some cases, this drop results in poorer blood flow to the optic nerves, which is linked to a higher risk of developing NAION.
